Imagine your eyes witnessing tea plantations without any boundaries, all you can see is greenery under beautiful blue sky & all you can hear is birds chirping. A place where you can sit for hours staring at those greens & learn about it.
When I was in Wayanad, Chembra Peak - the highest peak in Wayanad hills was closed by government. This was in february, 2020 just before the lockdown. So as I was staying in Zostel, I just decided to take a walk near by & explore. Just 10 minutes away from Zostel I came across a huge tea plantation- Chembra Estate . Its located about 7 km from Meppady . And this was the first time when I saw tea plantation this closely. And the best part was there was nobody around, not even a single person.
I was here for almost two, three hours. It started with adoring this beautiful plantation for hours & ended with taking many pictures of myself with it.
Although I was little scared about animals but people around told me that its pretty safe during day time but at night its risky.
I was not happy with the fact that I could not trek to Chembra Peak as it was shut but on the other hand I was happy that I could explore such a beautiful tea plantation. Chembra Tea Estate comes on the way to Chembra Peak and in order to reach the Peak we completely forget to take a look at this beauty & spend some time here.
So next time when you plan a trek to Chembra Peak in Wayanad do not miss out this beauty on your way.
